Measuring & Specifications

Q: How do I measure for a replacement sealed unit?
A: Measure the visible glass size (width x height) inside the frame, then add 10mm to both dimensions. Always measure in millimetres.

Q: Do I need to measure the thickness of my current unit?
A: Yes, measure the overall thickness (edge to edge). Common sizes are 24mm and 28mm, but we can manufacture slimline or thicker units as needed.

A: Yes — we manufacture shaped, arched, and stepped sealed units. Simply send us a template or dimensions and we’ll produce them.

Glass Options

Q: What is Low-E glass?
A: Low-emissivity (Low-E) glass has a special coating that improves insulation by reflecting heat back into the room while letting light in.

Q: Do you offer triple glazing?
A: Yes, you can select triple glazing in our configurator, choosing three panes of glass with krypton or argon gas fills.

Q: What are warm-edge spacers?
A: Warm-edge spacers reduce heat loss at the edge of the sealed unit. We offer several colours to match your frames.

Q: Can I order sealed units with Georgian bars or lead designs?
A: Yes — you can customise your sealed units with Georgian bars, leaded designs, or duplex grids.

Q: Do you make slimline heritage units?
A: Yes, we offer slimline double glazed units (from 11mm upwards) with krypton gas, designed for heritage and conservation properties.
